New Class B: The Sunlight, made by EHGNA, sold by Camping World
The Sunlight V1 is a brand new Class B, made in Canada by the Erwin Hymer Group of North America, the corporate owners of the Roadtrek Class B motorhomes.
It's sold only through Camping World’s 124 dealers in the U.S.

The Sunlight V1Â measures 19 feet six inches long and is built on the Dodge Promaster chassis.
At $59,000, it is the least expensive Class B motorhome on the market, Â sold as a no frills entry level Class B.
It comes with a full galley, refrigerator, microwave and twin beds that can be made into near queen sized bed in the back by filling in the center aisle space between them. During travel you can store bikes or a small kayak in that aisle.
The bathroom is located at the far rear of the vehicle and has a folding sink that’s normally stowed in the upright position but pulls down for use.
The Sunlight has up-top storage cabinets that line both sides of the interior coach from the galley on.
It has a large storage space located right inside the center door but accessible from the outside. It extends a all the way to the back of the vehicle on the passenger's side.
There is also a manual awning.
Update: Roadtrek shipped our van up to the factory in Ontario, Canada and fixed every issue I reported plus some I hadn’t noticed. They even replaced the stock steel wheels with aluminum snazzy wheels. The van is looking good now!
So far, our new Van One is a piece of junk. I bought it because it is the least expensive new Class B I could find. Sadly, it is put together so sloppily that I’m regretting the purchase before making the first payment. The ceiling panels are warped, there are gaps everywhere, the wallpaper is peeling off, the cabinet doors don’t fit, and now suddenly the CO/LP detector is beeping with nothing running. DON’T BUY THIS JUNKER!!!
Not bad. You’d have to add a backup camera though since this is the basic Promaster. But I definitely think there’s a market for an inexpensive, no-frills, Class B. Nice idea for sure.
I am seriously considering this one. In purchasing this, I’d have a new vehicle and would not have to worry about a used camper van with unknown maintenance history and repairs of an aging camper. Altough it’s not top-of-the-line luxury, it has all of the basics for comfortable camping, and I really like the fact that it looks like a regular van (no colorful swirls and ostentacious stripes) — no one would even know it’s a camper van, and it’s only 19 feet long!
You find any more info? Some listing say TV and underhood generator. Only thing i dont like is no bathroom door. Also wonder if roadtrek screendoor kits work on this.
There is still not much info available. I decided to buy a used American Cruiser. I bought it last Saturday. But still curious about the Van One.
You made the right choice. Came across video of a guy that went in depth on the quality. Its awful. 60k is way overpriced for the quality.

I want something no frills like that but it has to have decent holding tanks and it has to have decent construction for the price. Not paying that price and all those bubbles and finish flaws like he showed. I guess Canada has crap workmanship/quality control. Its too bad. I was interested in these until I saw the video. Way overpriced, I agree.
Hopefully, this video made it’s way to the CEO of the manufacturer. There’s no way this particular unit should have left the factory. Supposedly, there is a warranty: “2-year/50,000-mile warranty covers the manufacturing of the motorhome, appliances, electronics, plumbing and batteries.” The chassis is warrantied by Ram. Holding tanks have 23 gallons, fresh water, 17 gallons… a bit on the lean side for boondocking.
Is it sold in Canada?
