There are still openings for our Roadtreking Roundup on the Kansas Prairie next month. It's a boondocking-only event, offering a unique opportunity to camp on a real cattle ranch and join the cowboys and cowgirls on a cattle roundup, among other things.

Here's all the details:

Thursday October 11 – Monday October 15, 2018

Roadtreking is taking on the Kansas Flint Hills! Get ready to indulge prairie paradise and experience authentic cowboy culture!

IMPORTANT: This is a boondocking event only.

ALSO IMPORTANT: Unlike many of our previous events, tickets for this are PER PERSON, not per RV. If you have 2 people you need 2 tickets.

There, you can join in horseback riding, cattle drives, wagon rides, prairie burns, wildflower walks, star gazing, fishing and hiking in the Kansas Flint Hills. This 7,000 acre cattle ranch offers grand vistas, relaxation, and memorable experiences for all of its guests.

Cattle Drive Ticket OR Photography Day Ticket Per Person

As a working cattle ranch, horseback riding is an essential part of everyday life at the Flying W Ranch. With your cattle ticket, you will experience a cattle drive first hand, you will be on horseback, rounding up cattle while learning about the Cowboy Culture and the Flint Hills history.

With your photography ticket, you will be provided transportation with a guide to accommodate your every photographic need. Your guide will transport you around (and sometimes in) the drive and answer your questions. It is a unique photographic opportunity to capture and experience Cowboy Culture.

All tickets include:

  • Campsite
  • Dinner on Sunday evening
  • Entertainment on Sunday Evening

Additional Activities

*Please note, once you have purchased your event ticket, you will receive an access code to purchase additional activities.

  • Star Gazing Event- $100/person: Includes, Horse Drawn Wagon Ride, Dinner, and Star Gazing Program, and campfire. Dan Johnson, the Astronomer will have a program and high powered telescopes.
  • Prairie Earth Tour with Casey Cagle- $30/person: Includes, Historic Tour of the Tallgrass Prairie National Park, Chase County Courthouse, Downtown Cottonwood Falls, and Pioneer Bluffs in Matfield Green.
