RV Quick Tips: Listen to a book on the road

RV Quick Tips: Listen to a book on the road 1

Sometimes a long drive can feel stale or monotonous. We like to break up the pace with a good read…or a listen in this case.

We listen to audio books when we are driving.

We joined the Audible service and this past year, have been working our way through biographies like one on Winston Churchill's wife, Clementine; former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt; Harry Truman; George Washngton. Our favorote is a book called Undaunted Courage, about the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

You can try the service out by grabbing a free audiobook from Audible here! https://rvlifestyle-ider.wp1.sh/audible

  1. Check with your local library to see if they provide access to Overdrive which lets you borrow ebooks and audiobooks for 2-3 weeks. The service is usually free and they have a large selection.

We subscribe to Scribd.com for $8.99 per month.
The number of books and audiobooks is unlimited.
    They can be downloaded offline.
We listen to them on our portable devices and on our Bluetooth stereo in the Roadtrek
    while we’re traveling.

Great idea! Read the book Undaunted Courage, just downloaded it for. I also realized that I can listen to downloads without cell service and in areas without radio as on Highway 50 in NV.
